NIPAI - New International Performing Arts Institute is a private educational institute for performing arts, founded in 2000 and based in Berlin, Germany. NIPAI works with an international community of theatre directors, actors, choreographers, movement practitioners, performers, and performing arts educators.
The Institute specialises in theatre and movement directing, physical theatre, choreography, ensemble work, stage composition, and movement dramaturgy. Its training is practice-based and draws on psychophysical approaches including Meyerhold Biomechanics, Chekhov Psychological Gesture, and Stanislavsky’s work with physical action.
NIPAI offers long-form professional training programmes, shorter certificate courses, laboratories, and international studio workshops in Berlin.
