Introduction
The Digital Presence Lab is a focused, practical programme from NIPAI designed for performing artists who want to bring the same honesty they practice on stage into how they present themselves online.
It is a structured lab where you work on your own digital presence through the body - in a rehearsal space, on your feet, using the same practice-based logic you already trust as a performer. Your profile, your portfolio, your content approach - all of it shaped with guidance from a professional performing arts institute.
You work on the floor, on your feet, and with your phone as the only tool - because that is exactly how you will create content after the workshop ends.
The lab offers the opportunity to leave with a clear structure for working with social media as a performing artist.

How This Lab Was Born
During the NIPAI International Performing Arts Conference, we ran a digital marketing workshop for actors, directors, dancers, and choreographers. It worked - but we noticed something. The content was designed for performers, yet the format was not: desks, chairs, sitting. For people whose intelligence lives in their bodies, the container did not match the people inside it.
We also noticed something deeper. The same artists who take extraordinary risks on stage - who allow themselves to be vulnerable, open, and fully present in a rehearsal room - become cautious and guarded the moment they open a screen. They copy trends, imitate formats that feel foreign, or avoid being visible altogether. The honesty that makes their stage work powerful disappears online.
These realisations led us to build something new - a method that brings that honesty back.

The Method
Digital Strategy Through the Body is a new educational format developed by Kseniia Lohvyniuk and NIPAI. It starts from a simple observation: performing artists think through the body. They generate ideas through movement. They build trust through physical contact. They find their voice through action, rather than theory.
This method applies the same logic to digital presence. Instead of sitting behind a screen and planning content, you move, explore, create - and the content emerges from that process. The goal is to help you find your own way of being visible online, one that comes from who you actually are rather than from what currently works for others.
The method draws on embodied learning principles used in physical theatre training and is informed by research on habit formation and behavioural design. It is currently in its inaugural edition and will continue to evolve with each group that goes through it.

Why This Lab Matters Now
Casting directors check Instagram before callbacks. Producers search for directors online before meetings. Festival curators browse websites and profiles before programming.
Your digital presence is already part of your professional life - whether you manage it or not. This lab gives you the structure to make it work for you, not against you.
Starting in August means your presence will be ready for the autumn season - applications, festivals, castings, and new collaborations.
Workshop Leader
Kseniia Lohvyniuk works at the intersection of digital strategy and the performing arts. She serves as Head of Marketing at NIPAI and has built marketing strategies for performing arts organisations including the Nationaltheater Mannheim and Mittelsächsische Theater und Philharmonie.
Her background spans entrepreneurship, media, and cultural communications - but what shapes this lab is her daily work with performing artists. She understands both the digital landscape and the creative reality of actors, directors, dancers, and choreographers.

Schedule

Please note: Digital Strategy Through the Body is a new educational format developed by Kseniia Lohvyniuk and NIPAI - the first programme that teaches digital marketing to performing artists through embodied, movement-based methods in a theatre space. As a methodology in its inaugural edition, some elements may continue to evolve. This also means you have a rare opportunity to experience the format at its origin and shape it as one of its first participants.
Tuition Fee
Early Bird tuition is 50 EUR for registrations confirmed until 15 May 2026. After this date the fee is 100 EUR.
The fee covers all training sessions (6 working hours), materials, and a NIPAI certificate upon completion of the full program and creative report.
This is NIPAI's most accessible programme. The price is a deliberate choice: we believe every performing artist should be able to afford a structured introduction to digital presence.
To apply, please complete the online application form. Once submitted, we will contact you to provide further details.
