Program Overview
Gateway to the Professional Stage
For over 20 years, NIPAI programs have served as a gateway to the professional stage. Based on our "learning by doing" philosophy, you will create original work from day one, moving from deep text analysis to embodied performance concepts, so you understand how to analyze a play script in a way that directly informs your directing practice. Each week brings new challenges, practical assignments, and personalized feedback from master practitioners.
This program treats play analysis as a director’s working instrument. You move from reading and decoding the text to building a practical staging strategy: what is happening, why it happens, what changes, and how that becomes action, rhythm, and composition in rehearsal.
