International Physical Theatre Intensive Reaches Midpoint in Csurgó
Csurgó, Hungary — July 6, 2025

The second week of the three-week International Physical Theatre Intensive, led by the New International Performing Arts Institute (NIPAI), has just come to a close. Since late June, artists from ten countries have been working together in Csurgó, Hungary, in an intensive process combining movement, composition, and ensemble-based creation.
Guided by the Ostrenko brothers — internationally recognized theatre directors — participants have explored physical theatre techniques, group rhythm, and non-verbal storytelling. Over the past two weeks, the ensemble has moved from shared training into focused creative development, preparing a new performance to be shared with the public.
The outcome of this international collaboration will be presented in a public performance:
Date: July 12, 2025, 18:00
Venue: Csokonai Közösségi Ház, Széchenyi tér 1, Csurgó, 8840
Free Entry
The event is open to local audiences and guests. All are invited to witness the result of this cross-cultural creative process.
