PROGRAM OUTLINE

NIPAI Arts Management Diploma Course is developed for performing arts managers, arts administrators, arts entrepreneurs, producers and talented managers, working in various creative industries, seeking further professional development and international networking.

The Arts Manager, rather it's producer or fundraiser, is the most involved with a project through every phase of its creation (from pre-production to post-production). 

Through a combination of lectures, seminars, practical tasks and Stud Project, students will become familiar with the different roles, tasks, and obstacles that arts managers encounter and learn how to manage them. The program aims to hone students managerial and communicative skills. Students obtain a working knowledge of finance, marketing, and distribution strategies while analyzing media trends in the industry. 


It equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to be professional arts manager in the world of theatre.

Current research areas include producing; fundraising; stage management; cultural policy and theory; leadership; public relations; art marketing; arts education; strategic planning; professional and managerial practice.

The key learning objectives of the program focuses on theoretical and practical tasks to help students explore:

  • how to organize international art events, productions, meetings, festivals, exhibitions, ;

  • how to establish contacts and work productively with team, with colleagues, possible partners and stakeholders;

  • what should manager know about art, creative industry and its legal aspects;

  • pre-production, production and postproduction of performance, film, show etc.

The core of every program​ in NIPAI is learning by doing, thus every student of Arts Management Diploma Course should complete own Study Project in the organization working with professional crew and implement gained knowledge in professional settings. 

All students pursuing a Diploma Course at The New International Performing Arts Institute must be proficient in English and earn a bachelor's degree (at a minimum) or an acceptable equivalent.

As our students are busy with their professional lives and need flexibility, we offer variable study duration. Students can apply for Arts Management Course at any time during the year and can start the program with distant tasks.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM FOCUS

Students who wish to delve deeper into a specific topic can choose to attend an additional practical session from the elective projects that is in line with their interests.

STUDY ASSESSMENTS

We designed special assessment system for students of NIPAI. It allows students to feel free from conventional examinations. Instead of common grading system we established a score system. After each completed task the  student receives points, after certain number of collected points,  the student moves to the next level and is allowed to proceed to next semester.This system is specifically designed to avoid subjective assessments by lecturers.
